Everyone has a family, some bigger than others, whether you claim them or not. I wouldn't consider my family small but it isn't big either. The part of my family I'm going to be talking about today is the immediate ones including my mom, dad, sister, brother in law, and my aunt. I have a different kind of love for each of these crazy people that I will explain throughout this blog post. This one is long so prepare yourselves.
I'm going to start with my mom, Tausha Terhune. Some may think this is weird but I really do consider her one of my best friends, loving her like one, and she considers me as her "person". I know this isn't a normal relationship to have with your mother but it just happened. My Junior year of high school I got into some trouble (you guys don't need to know those details) and I ended up staying at home for three months out of the school year. My mother is a stay at home mom so we were together every day whenever I wasn't working. This time frame is whenever we started getting really close. I didn't have any friends at the time either so I started talking to her about everything and vise versa. To this day she is still the first to know everything that's going on in my life and the first one to hear about some juicy gossip I might have. She will call me in the middle of the day to rant about something my dad or sister did and I will do the same when I need to vent about Tyson. Now don't let this fool you into thinking I got away with everything because when she needed to be, she can turn right back into just a mom really fast. When she gets like this it makes me love her as a mom. This is one reason why I think the relationship we have works so well. I love my mom and when I have kids, I hope to be just like her.

Let's move on to my dad, John Terhune. I absolutely hate admitting this but me and him are just alike. We are both smart-asses about everything and can sometimes literally same the exact same thing. We don't know when enough is enough and it gets us both into trouble. We have had so many fights over the years because you can't have two of the same people living under the same roof for very long. He always wanted a boy (hints my name) and instead ended up with two girls so I became his hunting buddy while my sister was his fishing buddy. He loves everything outdoors and if I'm being honest, I only do it to because I know it makes him happy. But honestly how can you not love getting up at 4 in the morning in the middle of November to go out and sit in silence in the middle of the woods waiting on a deer to walk by. I'm being sarcastic, its terrible but there's nothing like the adrenaline rush whenever one walks out in front of you. I love my dad and if it wasn't for him I wouldn't be the hard working, doesn't take shit form anyone person I am today.

This next paragraph will be dedicated to my lovely, pain in the ass sister, Shelby McKee. I would say we have a love/hate relationship. During my moms first marriage she had Shelby so really she's my half sister, but the only one I have. Whenever we were younger she would spent every other weekend at her dads, leaving me to play by myself. As we got a little older every time we played together it would turn into a fight. This didn't get any better when we were in our teen years because she was a rebel and always got into trouble. I would always watch her get into trouble and learn from her mistakes, making me the good child which is another thing we would fight about. The fighting didn't get any better until she found out she was pregnant with her first child. She is a mother of two now and I will be talking all about her babies in my next blog. I love her more than ever now for blessing me with those sweet little babies. Her husband, Justin McKee, is the closest thing I've ever had to a brother. I know that whenever I need anything he will drop whatever hes dong, night or day, to come help me. This is why I love him.

Last but not least let me introduce Vona Petree, my aunt. Whenever I was a little girl and still to this day I have always looked up to her. She is my dads sister and when we were younger she would bring Shelby and I something home everyday after work. The reason I want to talk about her is she is the only one of my aunts who actually acts like it. She is always there for me to talk too about anything and I'm there for her as well. We have gotten a lot closer since we are neighbors now which is great for our relationship. I love my aunt and thrive to be just like her with my niece and nephew.

Well that does it for today's blog. I hope you guys have enjoyed learning about my family and how lovely all of them are (no pun intended).
